What it is

Lymphatic drainage uses gentle, rhythmic movements intended to support the natural movement of lymphatic fluid through the body. Unlike deep-tissue massage, the pressure is generally light and follows the pathways of the lymphatic system.

People often choose it when they feel puffy, heavy or uncomfortable, or when they want gentle bodywork as part of a broader recovery and wellness routine.

How it works

Maderotherapy—also called wood therapy—is a manual bodywork technique that uses specially shaped wooden tools alongside hands-on massage. The tools allow the practitioner to work methodically across selected areas, applying pressure and movement according to the client’s comfort and goals.

At Whealth, maderotherapy is incorporated thoughtfully into the session rather than presented as a guaranteed body-sculpting or weight-loss treatment.

Why people choose it

Combining the two approaches allows the session to begin with gentler, rhythmic techniques and then include more focused tissue work where appropriate. The exact balance is adjusted to the client, because not every body or every visit needs the same intensity.

What happens during your session?

A typical session includes:

  • Brief conversation about how you're feeling and what you want from the session
  • Individual assessment by the practitioner
  • Gentle lymphatic-drainage techniques
  • Maderotherapy with shaped wooden tools where appropriate
  • Hands-on massage, movement or stretching as needed

The full appointment lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Who it may suit

This session may appeal to people who feel puffy, heavy, tense or uncomfortable; people seeking gentle recovery-focused bodywork; and clients interested in combining lymphatic techniques with more targeted manual work.

What it pairs well with

  • Sports Massage on a different day for more targeted muscular recovery
  • Physiotherapy when the focus is rehabilitation, mobility or function rather than lymphatic and wood-therapy bodywork
