What happens during your session?

A screened recovery and wellness experience in a soft-sided chamber. It is not hospital-grade hyperbaric medical treatment or a cure for a health condition.

What it is

Whealth’s soft-sided chamber operates at up to 1.5 ATA, meaning the air pressure inside the chamber increases to approximately one and a half times normal atmospheric pressure.

How it works

Under increased pressure, gases can dissolve more readily into the body’s fluids. This is the basic physical principle behind hyperbaric environments. Whealth offers this as a screened recovery and wellness experience; it is not presented as hospital-grade hyperbaric medical treatment or as a cure for a health condition.

Why people choose it

People may explore hyperbaric sessions as part of a routine focused on:

  • Recovery after physical exertion
  • Rest and relaxation
  • Supporting an active lifestyle
  • General wellness and healthy aging
  • Returning to baseline after demanding travel, training or work
  • Creating uninterrupted time away from external stimulation

Some people feel a difference after one visit, while others incorporate multiple sessions into a broader routine. Responses vary, and more is not automatically better.

What happens during your session?

Allow approximately 90 minutes for the complete appointment:

  1. Compression: pressure increases gradually for about 10 minutes.
  2. Time at pressure: you rest inside the chamber for approximately 60 minutes.
  3. Decompression: pressure returns gradually to normal over about 10 minutes.
  4. Additional appointment time allows for preparation, screening and transition.

Inside the chamber, you can relax, listen to audio, read or rest. The most noticeable sensation is usually pressure in the ears, similar to takeoff or landing on an airplane.

We will explain how to equalize your ears before the session and communicate with you throughout it.

What might I feel afterward?

People report different experiences, including:

  • Feeling calm or sleepy
  • Feeling mentally refreshed
  • A temporary sense of increased energy
  • No dramatic immediate sensation

A subtle experience is still a normal experience. HBOT should be understood as a process rather than an instant transformation.

Who it may suit

Hyperbaric sessions may appeal to:

  • Kiters, surfers, runners and other active people
  • People with physically demanding training schedules
  • Travellers seeking structured recovery time
  • People interested in healthy-aging practices
  • Anyone wanting a quiet, screen-free recovery session
  • People exploring a multi-session wellness routine

What it pairs well with

  • PEMF before HBOT for a calm, stacked recovery visit
  • Compression Boots with NuCalm on a separate recovery day
  • The HBOT + PEMF Ten-Pack for people building a consistent routine

Important screening

HBOT is not appropriate for everyone. An untreated pneumothorax is a major contraindication. Tell us about respiratory illness, congestion, ear or sinus problems, lung disease, seizures, pregnancy, recent surgery, implanted medical devices and all medications.

Do not enter with prohibited electronics, lighters, oils, petroleum products or other items restricted by the chamber’s safety protocol. Follow staff instructions at all times.

The FDA emphasizes correct operation, fire prevention, equipment maintenance and adherence to manufacturer instructions for hyperbaric devices.

Hi! I’m Whealth’s question helper. I’m an automated tool, not a person. I answer from the information published on this website: services, prices, hours, policies, membership and retreats.

I can’t book appointments, check live availability, or give medical advice, and nothing is booked through this chat. For anything personal, you can message the Whealth team.

You don’t need to share your name, phone number or health history. Your question is only used to find an answer and isn’t saved.
