What happens during your session?

What it is

PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy. During your session, gentle electromagnetic pulses pass through the body while you rest comfortably on the PEMF mat.

How it works

Your nervous system, muscles, heart and brain all depend on electrical activity. PEMF applies an external electromagnetic signal intended to interact with these natural electrical processes. Most people experience the session as deeply calming rather than stimulating.

Why people choose it

People often use PEMF to support:

  • Relaxation and nervous-system regulation
  • Recovery after exercise or physical stress
  • Temporary relief from everyday muscular discomfort
  • Circulation and healthy movement
  • Rest and sleep routines
  • A sense of greater energy or balance

Research into electromagnetic therapies is still developing, and results vary. PEMF is a supportive wellness modality rather than a diagnosis or cure.

What happens during your session?

Your session lasts 15 minutes.

You remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on the PEMF mat. We select a gentle program based on the intention of your visit—such as relaxation, recovery or general wellness.

You may feel:

  • A subtle pulsing sensation
  • Gentle warmth
  • Muscles lightly twitching
  • A sense of heaviness or deep relaxation
  • Very little at all

Not feeling the pulses does not mean the session is not operating.

Who it may suit

PEMF may be a good fit if you:

  • Train, kite, surf, lift or play sports regularly
  • Feel physically tired or tense
  • Want a calm recovery session
  • Are returning to movement after a period of rest
  • Want to add a restorative practice to your routine
  • Prefer a passive modality where you can simply lie down

What it pairs well with

  • HBOT for a longer recovery-focused visit
  • Compression Boots for relaxation and lower-body recovery
  • Whole Body Vibration as part of the Recharge Package

Ask a question

Hi! I’m Whealth’s question helper. I’m an automated tool, not a person. I answer from the information published on this website: services, prices, hours, policies, membership and retreats.

I can’t book appointments, check live availability, or give medical advice, and nothing is booked through this chat. For anything personal, you can message the Whealth team.

You don’t need to share your name, phone number or health history. Your question is only used to find an answer and isn’t saved.
